About Me
My name is Danny “the jazzman” Silber and I was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1945. I graduated from the High School of Music and Art in Manhattan New York in 1963 and from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1967. My dad was my first music teacher and I have had the good fortune of learning from many excellent and inspiring teachers since. I must mention two people who have inspired and enlightened me above all others. The first is Bill O’Connell my personal coach and friend. And the other is Barry Harris-a wonderful human being who is wise in many ways beyond music.
I first performed in the Virgin Islands in the mid-seventies. I was one of the original members of a hugely popular 15-piece dance band named “Eddie and the Movements”. Over the past 30 plus years I have performed primarily in the New York area and in the Virgin Islands.

I was the DJ at the wedding. GREAT website! Loved the video…..the guy playing the pan is really good. I love the pans and own double tenors. I wish I knew how to play them! Hopefully one day soon I’ll take some time off and come down and look you up.

Thanks for your comment. Yes I’ve got many gigs coming up including the annual owner’s meeting on February 14th. (I set up a keyboard and play soothing music to begin the meeting. I’m going to post the new gigs now. See you soon! looking forward to hanging out with you.

hi danny, im n my ole ky home but heading back manana.
