This is usually a musically invigorating evening with lots of spontaneity and room for "magic" to happen. The band plays in an improvisational, jazzy style even though rhythmically the music is more rock, country and and other styles. "Barefoot" is a talented singer-songwriter who writes songs about life in the islands, sailing, drinking and so forth. Morgan Rael is the primary arranger and musical director and plays steel pan as well as guitar. Donald Birmingham is an excellent bass player as well as a nice guy and very easy to work with.
Latitude 18 is one of the last of a dying breed in St. Thomas-a local's funky open air waterfront restaurant/bar with dirt on the floor, lots of good live music, and good reasonable priced food!
